TOWES en français

(May 26, 2004) - With support from Human Resources and Skills Development Canada and the National Literacy Secretariat, TOWES is currently leading a research project to create and pilot a French version of the TOWES test. Our partners in Quebec, Ontario, and New Brunswick are in the process of testing this new French essential skills assessment with 1200 Francophone speaking Canadians.

"Translating and adapting TOWES into French will now enable us to deliver this important workplace tool to people across the country in both official languages" says Sharon Carry, President of Bow Valley College.

The TOWES G2 test is being field-tested nationally at TREAQ-FP, Cegèp Sorel-Tracy, Collège Boréal, Collège La Cité, and New Brunswick Community College. TOWES en français will be available to the Francophone market in 2005.
