TOWES Certified Practitioner Training
TOWES Certified Practitioner training gives participants an
overview of Essential Skills theory and research and an in-depth
understanding of the tools and resources related to TOWES. This
'behind-the-scenes' analysis of TOWES, combined with an overview of
the different applications of TOWES and other Essential Skills
tools gives participants the practical knowledge they need to
effectively inform key stakeholders about TOWES and Essential
Skills. Certification authorizes practitioners to deliver TOWES
background training in their region on behalf of TOWES. TOWES
Certified practitioners can choose to be listed on the TOWES
website to help market their skills.
TOWES Certified Practitioner training is a 2-3 day program and
is open to current TOWES Distributors only. Participants are
expected to complete pre- and post-course work in addition to
attending the training session.
TOWES & Essential Skills Training
TOWES and Essential Skills training covers many of the same
topics as the TOWES Certified Practitioner program. The main
difference is that participants are not required to complete a
post-assignment and, as a result, are not authorized to deliver
TOWES background training on behalf of TOWES.
The TOWES & Essential Skills Training program is 2-3 days in
length and is open to any interested groups or individuals.
TOWES Training Program Accreditation
Many organizations across Canada have developed training
programs related to TOWES and Essential Skills. In order for a
training program to use the TOWES brand, the content must be
evaluated and approved by TOWES. Programs approved by TOWES can be
marketed on the TOWES website as accredited TOWES training programs
and the organization will have the right to use the TOWES brand
name in their training.
TOWES Test Administrator Certification
All TOWES Test Administrators are required to complete an online
certification exam, which comes with free access to online test
administrator training modules. The modules are not mandatory, but
contain important information about preparing for a TOWES testing
session, administrative procedures, interpreting test results and
using the secure portion of the website. The compulsory
certification exam will help maintain fair and equitable testing
conditions across the country by ensuring that all test
administrators understand TOWES administrative policies and
procedures.
