 Welcome to the second edition of the TOWES TIMES
We are happy to issue the second edition of our e-newsletter, TOWES TIMES, devoted to Essential Skills assessment and training. This edition features articles and updates on our activities, including the annual distributor conference, information on two new online products, an update on the en français project, as well as a new link to our Off-the-Shelf-Products section. We’ve also included updates on new projects for TOWES and its distributors.

Distributor Conference
The third annual Distributor Conference and Best Practices Seminar had its best turnout ever! The exciting theme, Using TOWES in Business, and the central location drew 75 delegates to the Delta Ottawa Hotel in Ottawa, Ontario, October 22-23, 2007. Among the delegates were college distributors, private companies, and officials from Human Resources and Social Development Canada (HRSDC). Read more...
TOWES Online
Customers and distributors requested an online version of TOWES, and we’re listening. TOWES has responded by creating an online version of the General Series level 2/3 assessment. The web-based test is the same as the paper-based G2 series. Read more...
Essential Skills Online
The Foreign Credential Recognition Project kicks off as a national field-test in January 2008, marking another milestone in TOWES history. Also known as the Essential Skills Online (ESO) project, this undertaking has been in development since the beginning of 2007 when Human Resources and Social Development Canada partnered with TOWES and Bow Valley College. TOWES is very excited about a new project underway for the Canadian Automotive Repair and Service (CARS) Council. CARS is a Canada-wide, not-for-profit sector council that supports workers and employers involved in the automotive repair and service industry. Read more...

Voici le test des compétences essentielles dans le milieu de travail!
The TOWES Team is proud to announce the research and development for French testing are complete and the lineup of broadly based versions is available, including the G1, G2, G3, the Manufacturing Series, and the Office Administration Series. The TOWES development team also created another version of the G2, for the province of Quebec which includes authentic documents from Quebec-based businesses.
