Database
Working in Canada is the Government of Canada's leading
source for jobs and labour market information. It offers users free
occupational and career information such as job opportunities,
educational requirements, main duties, wage rates and salaries,
current employment trends, and outlooks. The site can help people
search for work, make career decisions, see what jobs will be in
demand, and much more.

Office of Literacy and Essential Skills
Literacy and essential skills
information is provided by the Office of Literacy and Essential
Skills. Through extensive research, the Government of
Canada, along with other national and international agencies, has
identified and validated key literacy and essential skills. These
skills are used in nearly every job and throughout daily life in
different ways and at varying levels of complexity.

Copian - Canada's Adult
Literacy Database
Copian represents the evolution of the
National Adult Literacy Database (NALD). For almost 25 years,
Copian played a key role in the Literacy and Essential Skills (LES)
field. While Copian closed its doors in 2015, access to their
digital LES library is still available.

ABC Life Literacy Canada is a non-profit
organization that inspires Canadians to increase their literacy

Testing Service
A non-profit organization, at ETS we
advance quality and equity in education for people worldwide by
creating assessments based on rigorous research. ETS develops,
administers and scores more than 50 million tests annually in more
than 180 countries, at more than 9,000 locations worldwide.

Under the Statistics
Act, Statistics Canada is required to
"collect, compile, analyse, abstract and publish statistical
information relating to the commercial, industrial, financial,
social, economic and general activities and conditions of the
people of Canada." Statistics Canada has two main objectives: to
provide statistical information and analysis about Canada's
economic and social structure; and to promote sound statistical
standards and practices.
